Tickets for Bromley’s men’s matches can be hard to come by these days, not to mention expensive when you’ve got a family in tow, so watching Bromley Women offers a pocket-pleasing, family-friendly alternative.
Loved your article, it was really great hearing about your daughter’s first game and your reflections on it. I was there too, not sitting far from you as it turns out, the lassies really enjoyed the game and I think they were genuinely inspired. I enjoyed it too, really good game and you can see the Bromley FC Ladies mean business. Also had some chips and didn’t have to wait long and had a right good chat with some Clacton fans about their club. Bromley are making a real effort and the autograph session at the end was a fine touch. The lassies were proud as punch of their autograph sheets, and that they got to talk to the players. Anyway that’s them hook, line and sinker so I guess my Sundays are now booked up for the foreseeable future! Cheers Graeme
Thanks for the kind words, Graeme. If Emma maintains an interest then I suspect we'll be at many more games to come. It was great to see a healthy cohort of fans from Clapton. Such an inspiring club. The kind of home crowds they attract in the Southern Counties East First Division are bonkers. The level of football is immaterial - people come for the 'vibes'. In that regard, Bromley feel like they're on the right track with the women's matchday experience.
Glad you enjoyed the article, Mike. And thank you for your kind words. In a world full of grumbles, it's nice to be able to write a 'good news' story (something I want to do more of in future). When things are being done well, people should hear about it. Here's to a bright future for the women's team at the club!

Great article - my daughter got into football on the back of regular trips to Hayes Lane and I must take her to watch the women’s team
What a delightful read, Machel.
