It's not unknown for two promotions on the spin, as you rightly said Sutton went near to that. Hey, if Bromley were to be a NL / L2 yo-yo team who wouldn't take that? Apart from the logistics management team!
Without knowing the statistics, could the answer be that many clubs relegated from League 2 spend one season in the NL and are promoted back to where they really belong?
Excellent summing up mash. From what AW’s saying it sounds like we won’t be changing the way we play this season!
I can only comment on the 2nd half yesterday as we got there late and only made it in for the 2nd half by sneaking through the side door and up the players tunnel😂 Thought we matched them pretty well, but I think a lot rests on whether we’ll have Cheek for the whole season, which seems increasingly unlikely, and if we can keep the likes of Forster and Whitely fit, as they’ll be vital in the attacking 3rd for us. Also we’ll be needing a keeper up to the standard of Balcombe if we’re going to have a chance of making the play offs this year.
The Cheek conundrum is interesting. I kinda feel like it' now or never for him re: a move. However with only a few weeks to go until the season starts it feels like it might be never at this rate.
Yeah he may have just missed the boat now, guess he’s a bit limited with options as I get the impression he doesn’t want to move too far afield. If he stays I just hope we can keep him motivated

Everyone would gladly take being a yo-yo team at any point in the next 3-5 years.
What will be interesting is how well Sutton go in their 2nd season in the EFL

Given the fact Chesterfield, Wrexham, Notts County just to name a few havent found their way back yet shows how difficult it is to do that.
Even Leyton Orient needed more than one season

I agree with a lot of what you say.

Great content Mash! Look forward to seeing how this evolves over the course of the season.
Thank you for the support so far DGP
Thanks Mash, another article that is thought provoking.
This is just the kind of club connection that fans have not had. Well done
Thanks for the additional ideas provided - will definitely aim to keep this going on a regular basis.
