Well said Mach, I did an absolute double take at the ‘no surrender’ bullshit, will be happy to call out any future instances, absolutely no place for this at our club

Agree with everything you said , I was told a few started a Tommy Robinson chant but aborted it when they read the room so to speak. We can hope that Deji stays fit & Kamarl can be signed that would be a statement signing for real. Keep up the good work Mach.

Absolute fantastic performance from Bromley, seems unfair to single any one player out. What I will say though, pleasantly surprised as I was to see Deji, I thought he slotted back in beautifully. Our bench was so strong too. Thought Levi did well when he came on, he was particularly good when charging at defenders. Hope to see more of that. Yes Gillingham were poor, no shortage of Gills lining up to say that, but I think they were made to look poor by a Bromley who completely dominated the 1st half and comfortably controlled the 2nd (letting them pass sideways!). Onwards to Crewe. Cheers as always for a great analysis!

Many thanks again Mash for your very informative and interesting match report, which is very much appreciated, as many of us who for what ever reason can’t now make it to games. Keep up your good work with being a great supporters ambassador.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Hi Machel,

Surprised you didn't mention in the GOOD, the clever free kick that got us the killer third goal. Alan Dunne and his team are continuing to innovate and out think our opponents at key moments in the game. Another intuitive article...keep them coming!

Great performance from us. Yes Gillingham were very poor first half, but we still won the second half half when we were up against it for large periods, and should have had a penalty ourselves.

It was the first away match we'd attended with my young children. I expected bad language but some of the shouting and chanting was particularly vile. It is hard to understand what fans get out of that sort of language and abuse of opposition players, particularly when they are standing next to an 8-year old.

I would have been delighted to hear 'God save the king' instead of the 'poverty-shaming' chants, swearing and much worse, but did not do so. Nor did I hear the ludicrous 'No Surrender'. I don't think the national anthem should ever be conflated with chants associated with violence or racism.
