Great write up as always, Mach. Was back in Kidderminster visiting my parents, so missed both games, but managed to squeeze in Harriers v Southend.
Goodness me, we don't know how good we have it at Bromley.
Harriers pull in more fans every week, and the atmosphere is much better, but it was turgid stuff. I've been critical of Woodman at times (as you know) feeling like we should be a better "footballing" side given the players we have available to us. Let me tell you, watching Harriers (who don't have the quality that Bromley do) trying to play out from the back while languishing in the bottom 2 was a stark reminder that you should play to your strengths. Woodman, perhaps more than any other manager in the league, gets that.
Thanks Machel. I thought it was fairly typical of a lot of our performances When we take the lead we try to control the game. This can work if you don't concede. The worrying thing for me is that we have conceded twice in each of the last two games, and as we know you won't score 3 every game. Is it a coincidence as Deji has now gone.?
The turning point was the second goal without the deflection it would not have gone in. Yes we looked the stronger team but made hard work of it. Fela was immense. Roll on Saturday. Very entertaining game nevertheless only 7 points behind Chesterfield and yes heavy legs need one or two new recruits.
