I find the fact that you have to be careful where you stand at a game in case you end up in a picture with a No Surrender flag or people thinking you are down with that quite sad . Promotion will only make matters worse .

Thanks Machel. Ok we will start with Dorking. Agree with the comments - as Owner, Chairman and Manager Marc White cannot sack himself so what else can he do? Officially Joe Cook left this week by mutual agreement unofficially it was slightly different. The desired effect of putting the fear of God into his players didn’t work and perhaps his players were too fearful of doing anything wrong they went into their shells and produced a toothless display. If it’s Marc’s pride stopping Dorking Wanderers turning Professional, as he likes the Wanderers tag of being a ‘no frills’ Club I would suggest he is taking the wrong path.

They will never get beyond National League level.

As for Bromley agreed a much improved display. Defensively solid but a lot more chances created. I think Odatayo has played in all those 6 games with clean sheets and must stay in the side for me. Bes may slot in somewhere but it was an excellent display all round so if Ben and Jude are fit wouldn’t expect to see too many changes. Weston will be useful against Woking if needed.

Dorking were a breath of fresh air in the NL and quickly became a 2nd favourite club to many. Yesterday we exposed their frailties of this season as had another top team Barnet in the game prior, they were easy to contain, they have a squad of ageing players and being part time has finally caught up with them but their biggest problem I will come to. We could have had more goals without doubt, but once again we allowed ourselves to become edgy even nervous which the opposition seem to jump on whoever we play. It was a great exciting away win due to the relief of looking at rivals results coming in, as AW says “look after our own business”. As for Dorking the biggest problem seems to be their best asset, Marc White, he has worked wonders with the club and continues to do so, but he is not up to being a NL manager and has found out this season, you don’t succeed on enthusiasm alone in the NL, is it time to step down?

From my position in the crowd it seemed that every time I looked around I saw another ‘yoof’ being shown the door by security or police, flares and hats being thrown on the pitch are not the Bromley way and seeing the amount of police on hand and the escort back to the station our reputation is beginning to precede us. As for No Surrender, I doubt any of them have a clue about what it stands for.

I genuinely have no idea what other clubs some of these yoofs have come from but it does appear that the excitement of the "freedom" of non-league and being able to pretend you are a "firm" has given licence to more to jump on the bandwagon.

As for Marc White - you are spot on re: the ageing team but more personally I do wonder if he will allow himself some introspection and wonder if in a FT league that is effectively League 3 he can get away with publically effing and blinding about his squad before it starts to sound tired to his squad.

Unfortunately he appears to need the last word, his post match interviews following Barnet and Bromley were strange. How he gets away with calling out his players following 6.0 and 2.0 defeats against two top teams without maybe looking at himself smacks of “it’s my club and I’ll say and do what I like”. As for the language, he just makes himself look ridiculous, but judging by the language and chanting I heard from the Bromley yoof it seems to be the accepted way now, I must have slipped over into old fogey mode without realising 😂
