A game too far yes, a performance to remember, the loss of Louis prior and Stirk during the game then the sending off all conspired against us. But the guts to keep going and pull it back @ 99 mins I will remember forever. So proud this is MY CLUB. Great piece Machel .

Been great to read these through the season Mash, no dishonour in losing to Chesterfield either, good seasons for both our clubs. Big summer for all, the loss of Notts County and Wrexham reduces the playing field once again, will anyone go silly on budgets and will we see a surprise from the pack?

I am expecting a club to seize the initiative and go wild financially - I just cant work out who it will be.

A great summary, Mash, and one I can completely agree with. There were other good and bad points too. Chesterfield's winning goal was celebrated quite brazenly in front of the Bromley faithfull - something which has drawn criticism from Premier League and EFL, occasionally with sanction, when the big boys do it. It clearly gave precedent at the end for a rank of their fans generating a challenge to the line of police, and us beyond. What was ugly was the response of a couple of Bromley "fans" reacting by throwing missiles at the home mob. What was good, was a cadre of more mature Chesterfield fans that came and applauded both our team, who by then had reached us, and the Bromley supporters.

I didnt realise some Bromley fans had thrown projectiles. Would definitely have referenced that if I had seen it. Being goaded or not that isnt on.

Yes Machel I actually thought we looked spent from the start but the will to win was immense. Losing Stirk was almost as big as losing Deji. It was a shame to lose to a mistake although a great finish by Mandeville. Although I did feel Chesterfield deserved to win and we always lose on penalties! But that is the advantage of finishing in the top 3. Home advantage and more rest time. Will be interesting for next season. Like you say will AW stay? Sowunmi? Deji? I think we will ( hopefully anyway) keep the main core of the team which means we will be competitive next season but we may need a few signings to put us in the play-off spots. Thanks again.
