Mash,

Like you, I have been coming to Hayes Lane for many years, over 40. I am just so happy to be alive to see the achievements are beloved club has made over the recent years. All these things were just a dream all those years ago, Sadly the likes of Glynn Beverly and John Forini, Tony Burrow, and others never got to see.

I am truly blessed to see these great times in our clubs history of all time.

Probably been going to Bromley for 5/6 years and when we drew Newcastle flipping my dinner over the floor was the least of my worries. Can’t imagine what it feels like for those who have been following even before the NL/NLS days. Bradford away was a step back but this will be something else

Great piece Col. Firstly, I can't believe how quickly time moves on and that the toddler you regularly fetched along to matches is now in the middle of his GCSEs. I feel he must be deserving of some credit that all this success has occurred on his watch 😂

Secondly, having been at all the first round matches since 1976, I have always felt that success was not to have to face the trauma of another 7-0 thumping and consequently I have only ever dared to dream of keeping a respectable losing score line and just hoping we give a good account of ourselves. It has felt like nosebleed territory to go into the two rounds of this campaign expecting to be in the hat the following Monday (consider that in our DNA now)

Happy to say now too that I am no longer having terrifying Swindon flashbacks at the thought of such a massive opposition on Sunday. We've already won our cup final to make it this far. Sunday is the open top bus celebration for me.

Great piece Mash, heady days indeed at Bromley FC. Enjoy the trip and the game, regardless of the result as we make history . . . . again!
