Great stuff as always, Mach.

I've been crying for us to improve set pieces given our size and seeing the fruits of the labour is heartening. I agree RE: Congreve - he looks to be our most "talented" player, and having him operating 5/10 yards closer to goal is only going to do us good.

RE: Kamarl, I hope we can keep him. I also saw in the BBC Sport gossip this morning (take that with as much salt as you like) that Championship and League 1 clubs are sniffing around Imray... losing both in Jan would be a massive blow.

Now for the fun bits! I love the blog, easily the best Bromley coverage out there, and your post matches with Andy are always different enough from the club's stuff to make them worthwhile.

I know they're effort, but I'd love to see slightly more regular "reviews" on the channel. Whether it's of a transfer window, the season so far, or any other topics you wanna gas about with fans. Or even something like The Overlap/Stick to Football, but Bromley. Take over the Ravens Chat (podcast) mantle (if you've the time)

I know a couple of folks who run successful substacks if you'd like me to pop you in touch as well!

Hi Max - when you say reviews do you mean on YouTube or written?

Have a written one coming next week.

This is the question, isn't it?

I subscribe to a few substacks, newsletters, patreons etc and I *love* written content. However, I often worry that I'm in the minority on that.

I have enjoyed your power ranking videos etc - but I also know that A. Videos are "more" work to do, and B. The YouTube algorithm demands content at an unsustainable pace, and with all of your other work (and actual job!) I wonder if that's not possible.

If the goal is "growth" then it might be leaning more on the club to promote and share some of your work - like the big Woodman interview you did, or more recently with Cal - to push your work to their 30k+ followers etc

Your reports are very well written and I can't find anything else out there that's as good. I would watch via YouTube if you where to discuss games with other bromley fans that are able to read the game, and those of the opposition as well. it helps to be independent of the club to make this sort of thing useful, so i don't think any idea of replacing ravens weekly on an official basis would be any good

Hey Stephen - good idea re: YT filming. Will see if I can bring that into proceedings for 2025.

Great game. Was definitely a little nervous when it got to 4-2 as we were looking very tired. A little disappointed in Smith, think he should have done better for the second newport goal, he seemed to dive out of the way!

Just watched it back. It looks like he premeditated what Whitmore was going to do.

Could say quick thinking by Whitmore TBF but it looks bad

Was discussing Kamarl’s loan before the game on Saturday, from a position of not knowing when it was up. Now I know! Man I hope it can, at the very least, be extended. I especially like how the attacking side of his game has developed, marauding into those spaces. He’s good at that. Not to forget his throw ins masquerading as corners. I wonder what the chances are of Thompson joining on a permanent deal? He has become a very important player for us and the way we play (I swear he even won a header against yon giant of a Newport striker early in the game!) Obviously there are a few variables at play - Stevenage, Bromley, £ and Ben himself.

From speaking to Andy at full time - I suspect there is going to be a few comings and goings in January.
