I can probably get you five names worse, not better! Standard isn't great this year, don't like to criticise like you Mash as I wouldn't do the job for all the money in the world, but seen some shockers this year.
Thanks again Machel. What a performance! and a great opportunity on Friday with Barnet struggling for form. I know you will say I am getting carried away but we could get into the top 5. Better to aim high and go for a home draw in the play-offs.! and Andy listened to me about playing Deji🤣. Probably see the same XI on Friday and there is still plenty on the bench to come on. Definitely has the feel of the play-off run of 2 seasons ago. Important to start on the front foot again. Barnet do score a lot but concede a lot as well so is important to be brave and go for it and take our chances. If we let them get on top they are dangerous as we saw at Hayes Lane earlier in the season. Come on the Mighty Brom!
I will only go as far as saying take it game by game. Either way I think we will have a much better idea of how realistic getting in the playoffs are after the Easter Weekend.
I agree with your assessment of Omar Sowunmi. We need to retain him. A new contract would be wonderful, and of course a transfer fee would then occur should he leave. But he is an excellent player and a natural progression beyond the skipper, Webster. He portrays an example of the building blocks we need to progress as a team on the pitch.
When I first saw him last season I thought he was a disaster. Awkward on the ball, poor under a press, and oddly passive in the air given his stature.
But this season? Boy was I wrong. With Webster out and Bush leaving I thought we would really struggle at the back, but Reynolds (who I think deserves more plaudits) has stepped up, and so has Omar.
Assured, confident, strong, great in both boxes -- I really hope we manage to hold onto him.

I definitely feel like this has been the worst I have seen it at this level. At least every other game I witness decisions that are beyond baffling.
Absolutely mate. It's not just them having a bad game, it's the lack on consistency week on week that really annoys me.

I need to eat a bit of crow re: Omar.

His initial tekkers last season were very sub par but we saw how important he had become when he was missing at the back end of last season.
This season he is on course to win player of the season and rightly so.
