First of all, re: Referee. I thought he had a decent game all things considered -- though some particularly vocal guys behind me weren't so keen. I thought the free kick at the end wasn't, but that's football.
The main reason we should be concerned is to your point around "control." I've been in these comments regularly talking about Brom's lack of control in *any* game this season. We go back to front quickly all game, every game - and it bypasses our midfield 6 or 6s - so we can start playing off second balls in the final third.
That's fine - IF we win second balls. There's only so many times you can go back to front vs teams, giving them the ball, and letting them play. I know we're usually solid defensively, but you can't keep letting teams have the ball against you. Sooner or later, they'll score.
It's why when Charles came on it didn't matter. Here's a guy who wants to pop the ball around, make his triangles, and keep the ball moving, but when you skip him out with big hoofs down the channel it doesn't matter who the personel is.
I'd love to see a Plan B where we get it down and play to kill games off.
Excellent again Machel. For me Charles was a huge disappointment and I wonder whether he regrets taking Ben off. Kido was also very disappointing. Ok I know he's new to the squad but b Charles doesn't look up to it-hope he proves me wrong because otherwise you're relying on Corey Whitely and Woods to play every match.
As to the game we have actually seen this a lot this season when we have a lead this season we sit on it we don't keep going I don't know what it is. There seemed a nervousness when it went 2-1 which we didn't seem to have against Chesterfield another mystery.
There was very little reaction to going down 2-1 I put it partly down to legginess but its also hard to find your rhythm once you've lost it and also it makes it easier for the other team as they have maintained there's. Dagenham were a lot sharper and AW needs to find some answers as I think Eastleigh will be a tough test.
Not sure who I would bring Passley and Weston would give us some width if available. Deji we need. Maybe Arthurs in Midfield as he will run for the 90 minutes which was sadly lacking for quite a few of our players Tuesday.
I don’t want to be overly negative, but me honestly thinks you are ignoring unpalatable yet glaringly obvious facts, starting with the question all around me were asking on Tuesday night: how the heck are we second in the table? Truth is we have won\drawn many matches this season when the opposition has looked technically far better but somehow squandered their superiority. Like Chesterfield, for instance. We beat them not because we were better, but because of terrible defensive frailties that will probably be rectified by the arrival of a complete new back four when they kick off next season in League Two. Watch this space! But back to Tuesday. You mention Arthurs in a sympathetic tone when he gave the No 10 he was supposed to be marking the freedom of the park all night, and was mercifully substituted when AW presumably realised the lad simply isn’t a full back! Then there’s Louis Dennis, still a cult figure with the fans, but more because of his past than his present. Quite frankly he isn’t up to it anymore which makes it even more of a mystery why the manager starts with him rather than the Fela, so to speak, who was far more effective than LD when he finally came on too late. Let’s be honest here the Daggers deserved more than a point on Tuesday and our team really isn’t anywhere near good enough to go up. But I love being a season ticket holder and will definitely renew next season, and the season after (if the Grim Reaper doesn’t t get me first) content in the knowledge that off the field at any rate - with a new stand on the horizon - the Ravens really are moving up into a different league.
I think LD is a victim of our system. Fela thrives in transition, which is exactly how Woodman wants us to play. LD is, for me, exactly who you want on the pitch if you're a side that dominates the ball, and you want someone with massive technical ability to unpick defenses for you.
Sadly, we rely on BIG RUNNERS with loads of energy to drag us up and down the pitch. It's no wonder we look knackered.
Excellent piece. Spot on. Webster seemed the sensible choice as sub if we needed to make one for Jude and push Kirk to the right.
No one aside from Cheek, Corey, Bes and Smith earned their place for Saturday, so it will be interesting to see what AW does.
Class as always, Mach.

We are 2nd because we have 61 points more than anyone else in the league had accrued bar Chesterfield.
Sometimes Bromley fans would do well to remember we are having an unprecedented season.

Agree with what you write. Is it too late to make the 'inspired' signings we need?
The window is shut - aside from emergency loan
