Really good read again. My player of the season would be Grant Smith, quite simply one of the main reasons we are where we are in the table. A superb goalkeeper.
Thought it was a Bromley back to their best performance, high energy all over the pitch , defended very well & Cheeky & Fela caused them problems from 1st whistle. As for player of season Corey is my front runner at moment. One game at a time but will be interesting how we get on v Solihull on consecutive Saturdays.
I was toying with the idea of being in the away end for Kiddy on Saturday (it's my hometown, and my Dad's coming down with his mates to support), with the morbid curiosity about how we treat away fans - from both the aggro from the kids behind the goal, the toilets, refreshments etc but... I'm not sure I fancy it.
Many thanks: I had to miss this match and you've brought me up to speed very well: I'm back now and will be in full voice for Kiddy (in past years - but please not this time - a classic banana skin).
I support wholeheartedly your praise for Jude Arthurs. Every team needs a player like him: they're not necessarily the most technically gifted but always put in a shift, are versatile, bursting with energy, do some of the messy stuff and are often undervalued.
My more modest gripe than the toilets is that the reserved seat system in the Beverly Stand needs further thought. A sticker across the seat (that falls off) doesn't do the job and increasingly it falls to season ticket holders to eject (always politely) fellow fans who sit there in good faith: it's a bit embarrassing all round, especially as you can't prove that the seat is yours. If the Club wants a reserved seat system, then do it properly; if they don't, then fair enough - first come first served works too. But half measures don't. It's a small issue in comparison to a fabulous season and shouldn't be difficult to fix.
As good as always Mash! Bromley deserved the win, Barnet were never in it, but some gd performances from your boys.
Re the toilets, the away end. Still no lights, non flushing toilets but at least running water. I spoke to the club after our visit in September, 2 messages exchanged then they clanmed up, disgusting.
I thought Callum found O’Donker a real handful for much of the game and had to be at his best. He was lucky to have Idris, who I do not think made a mistake during the game behind him.
Well done for bringing up the despicable toilets and facilities. As a paying visitor to a venue you expect decent facilities. Quite frankly I object to being considered as someone who doesn’t matter because I’m not a sponsor, an executive or Ravens club user. Surely the club employ a maintenance man, if not a tannoy announcement requesting one, would undoubtedly find one.
Yes to all of the above again... and ? but of course! is the answer to this semi-rhetorical question!
"Andy Woodman gave his personal man-of-the-match award to Callum Reynolds. Upon reflection, he was right to do so. We spoke about it in the post-match interview but Barnet clearly had a direct gameplan and repeatedly stuck the ball on Callum and in behind Idris.
Gatlin O'Donkor is a good young centre forward, but time and again he was taken to school by the wily and experienced Reynolds.
Is Callum our true player of the season? "
Yes, and I'm proud to call Callum a friend, and that I've been nominating him as Man of the Season since the beginning of this one!. Consistency is Key!

Great write up, Mach.
Did Andy say why Cheek went off "early"?
