A great summary as usual. I suspect the missing 400 were due to holidays and I'm not sure the Wombles had their full allocation, they looked 100 short to me. Keep up the good work, Rob
Absolutely spot on Mash, pretty much echoed what I wrote on the League Div 2 forum. We’re in this league on merit, based on performance (as are all), and we’re certainly not looking out of place. The experience we already had coupled with the signings and loans (many of whom knew us already), have supported a good start. Long may it last 🤞🏼
Fitness and experience are the big contributory factors so far. The experienced players that you mentioned plus the fact we are at the same pace at 90 minutes as we are at 10 minutes.
Looking at the Wimbledon right winger No 11, who was at us with pace up until the hour mark and then faded away almost disinterested in the game because frankly Idris was controlling him with his fitness, showed our overall advantage.
I mentioned Ashley ‘Ticker’ Charles last week, the guy is our heartbeat, what an acquisition, with the bonus that he has improved Jude Arthurs no end.
I am loving this squad, the season will not be all success but it will be so interesting.
I have to admit I'm one of those Season Ticket holders that didn't turn up, I was away on a long planned holiday. Hope that will be the only home game I'll miss this season.
Fair comment on the game. Two moments of class, Cheeks finish and Imrays run, won the match for us. AFC despite controlling possession did very little of note with it. I’ll have to watch Charles closely in future as I’ve been a bit underwhelmed by him to be honest.
I can definitely say that one of the missing 400 was me as I brought a ticket, but feel ill the week of the match so missed attending both games against Wimbledon, but will be there against Crewe

ST holder in absentia here as well. Was away for a long weekend, gutted to have missed it.
