I spoke to Josh and Deji last night, Josh said he will be out for about 4 weeks and Deji said he'll be back in 2, Louis should be fit soon after getting injured last Friday in training up North and Soul says he will start light training in a couple of weeks, he will obviously go out on loan.
I didn't have the second goal down to Long, but maybe I need to watch it again. From my vantage point Paul-Lavaly was beaten by a taller opponent at the back post and the CBs didn't pick up Piggott's run in time.
You’ve given the lowest rating to the player that was rated the best on all footy apps for the game last night, not sure you gave the game full attention, but poor review from you. I enjoy reading your articles also.
Leigh didn't have a shocker by any means, and his passing stats were probably still decent, but by his high standards it felt like he was undercooked. I suppose the acid test for my take will be whether he starts ahead of Charles on Saturday. Mad that a player of Lewis's quality doesn't just walk into the team, but that's where we are these days.
Good write up, Peter. I wanted to drop some praise on Woodman while I'm here. The shape you have listed above (with a front 2 and Congrave central) clearly wasn't working for us early on - no width with our wing-backs pinned back, and an extremely narrow front 3, meant Wimbledon could easily dominate the ball, especially if it wasn't sticking up top.
Credit to Woodman though -- he changed the shape earlyish, dropping Dinanga into a 2 behind Levi, allowing Congrave a bit more freedom to influence the game.
The second thing was his subs. Obviously this will be a learning curve for him given the amount of subs we can name *and* use, but I thought the subs he made had a big impact on the game. Charles and Idris impressed, and I thought Fela was a nuisance when he came on too. Cheek did what he does, won us some cheap free-kicks by using his body, which is going to be essential for us this season.
Thanks, Max. You're right, the change of shape gave Cameron a lot more freedom. I'm not sure it was quite as beneficial for Dinanga, who looked a little unsure of himself, but it's still early days for the setup. It will be interesting to see if Andy uses a similar shape on Saturday.
I watched this one on TV. You mentioned the lack of movement, Peter. That was quite evident. Bromley so different in play from Saturday, when they matched the tempo of the other team. It was clearly an outing of National League versus EFL. Our goal excepted, it was only the last 10 minutes of the first half and the 20 minutes at the end with four substitutes that the tempo and hence threat was greater and we became truly competitive. I had also the benefit of Sky's analysis that showed our possession at 38%.
The two games have shown that our players are, and our system is good enough. We just have to increase the intensity. If we do that, then I am backing a revenge win on Saturday.
I neglected to mention the subs, but was really impressed with Idris. His boldness on the ball made all the difference in giving Bromley a shot at pegging Wimbledon back. I expect to see him and the other featured subs back in the starting XI on Saturday.

Nice to have that insight, Paul. Thanks for sharing.
Good report. You mentioned the slip by Lewis Leigh, but not the error by Sam Long for their second goal .
We go again Saturday. Vamos Bromley.

Thought both he and Ash made a big difference when they came on.
