I love what Phil Brown has done at Kiddy and if they do stay up (which I believe they will) they could be a playoff contender next season. Fair reflection though, this season's race could still go anyhow so this point in the end could be vital when it matters. If Bromley do miss out on second or third by two points, I doubt many will point the finger of blame towards this game! Losing at home to Aldershot still springs to mind more!!!
An odd experience for me, that game. Raised in Kidderminster for 18~ years, living in Bromley for the last 7, I was half hoping for a Kiddy win, with all the other results going Bromley's way (somehow..).
The only time I felt nervous, with my Kiddy hat on, was when Kido came on. Quality on the ball, quick feet, and clearly (skill wise) a level above. I've long advocated for Bromley to have another system in their back pocket when coming up against the so-called "lesser" teams in the league, to allow them to get someone like Kido or Dennis in the team in a free role.
I think the wing back role has far too much defensive responsibility for someone like Kido, which is limiting his minutes in the team when a shift in system might allow him to settle tight games like this one.
Best impact performance I’ve seen from Kido but it was him who lost the ball towards the end of the game when he was attacking Kidderminster final 1/3. Dare I say if that had gone in we would not be looking at it the same. But in all fairness it feeds into the fact that he’s not a natural wing back. Thought the delivery’s were poor as well. Definitely something to work on considering how much a pin point cross can change the game. Movement wasn’t amazing up top either but i don’t want to sound too negative
Once again, spot on analysis as well as player ratings! But the most impressive part of this review is your choice of vocabulary! Denouement. Spectacular!
Would have been too easy to just stroll into the play offs in 2nd/3rd spot, much more fun to have a bit of jeopardy in place! Hopefully one or two key players will find form in the closing games and we reach the play off semi final with a decent run behind us. Agree about Kido, saw some glimpses of what he’s capable of. Mustn’t under value four consecutive clean sheets as well. Good to know Grant’s between the sticks tomorrow night, England’s loss is Bromley’s gain 😂
I thought Kido actually showed signs At Last , think it was him who put a good ball in for Ben that he should have struck first time . Exciting finish to season ahead lots of big games involving teams at top & bottom . Kiddie look hard to beat .
The three games this midweek will all have a big influence on how things shape up in the NL.
Tough on Idris, but I think AW will bring Bes and Josh back in and look to be more positive out wide.

Agree with this re: Kido
