The day after Bromley achieved promotion to the Football League for the first time in their history, news broke that former manager Billy Smith had passed away.
Thanks Mash - a brilliant article about a wonderful man. He and George were the best two man-managers I played under; they treated us properly, they knew the game, they had an eye for a player, they were honest and we would all run through brick walls for them. Billy was a proper non-league legend and will be sorely missed.
A poignant reminder that we stand on the shoulders of giants, now. We wouldn't be where we are without the work of everyone who came before.
Beautiful tribute 🙏

Colin takes all the credit for this article - perfectly captures who Billy was and what he meant in the history of BFC
RIP Billy. 🙏
