And so we go again.
What more can I say that wasn’t written ahead of Tuesday night’s Carabao Cup game against the same opponent?
Of course, this one has more gravitas because it’s Bromley’s first-ever home game in the Football League.
A cursory internet search reveals myriad articles detailing how Bromley are on the brink of history. Indeed, the game has been sold out for well over a week, which tells you that a lot of people are looking forward to the club’s date with destiny.
By sheer coincidence, earlier this week, Bromley hosted Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup first round. The Dons’ earned a 2-1 victory in that game, but I would caution against reading too much into the result. The cup tie was more of a sparring session.
By my reckoning, Bromley were missing seven of the men who started their opening-day win at Harrogate Town. It was a similar story for Wimbledon, as six of the starting line-up from their league win against Colchester did not start the cup game.
Heavy squad rotation highlights the importance both sides are placing on Saturday’s league encounter. Your guess would be as good as mine as to who has the upper hand, but with both clubs putting out their strongest selection, I expect it to be a much more cagey affair.
For Andy Woodman, while he would have been encouraged by some of the performances of his wider squad on Tuesday, it seems unlikely that he will deviate too far from the side that won at Harrogate.
With the luxury of being able to use five subs, he should feel confident that he has the firepower on the bench to change or chase the game if need be.
But if you were in Andy’s shoes, what would your starting XI look like?

No problem with starting eleven you suggest. I would have lined up back three differently on Tuesday that Grant on right,Omer in middle and Callum on left.
Your Team looks good to me, but I would probably but Omar in for Callum on this occasion.
